National Science, Innovation, and Technology Strategy Act of 2021
Purpose
A bill to require the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy to submit to Congress each year a national science and technology strategy, to require the Director to complete quadrennial science and technology reviews, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Tasks the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy with conducting a quadrennial review of the U.S. science and technology enterprise that recommends priorities for research, development, and demonstration programs
- Other required features of the report include an assessment of the U.S. STEM workforce, regional innovation capacity, STEM research infrastructure, and policies that obstruct R&D efforts
