Purpose
To establish a national science and technology strategy, a quadrennial science and technology review, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Tasks the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy with conducting a quadrennial review of the U.S. science and technology enterprise that recommends priorities for research, development, and demonstration programs
- Other required features of the report include an assessment of the U.S. STEM workforce, regional innovation capacity, STEM research infrastructure, and policies that obstruct R&D efforts
