Space Research Innovation Act
Purpose
To allow the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to establish a research center for deep space and interplanetary research, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Directs NASA to establish a university-affiliated research center to support cis-lunar and deep-space missions and interplanetary research
- Requires NASA to ensure such a center is “held accountable” for the technical quality of the work it produces and has demonstrated expertise in convening public-private partnerships
