Talent is found in all communities, opportunity is not.

Advancement in physics and astronomy is integral to our national competitiveness, well-being, and the future of our planet. We need all talent at the table to solve humanity’s greatest challenges.

The persistent underrepresentation of African Americans in physics and astronomy at the undergraduate level is one of the most critical issues facing the future of the physical sciences field today.

TEAM-UP Together is a collective action initiative to drive systemic change, improve educational outcomes, and create a culture of inclusion, support, and success for African American and other students who face unequal opportunities and obstacles toward their success in physics and astronomy departments.

By supporting TEAM-UP Together, you contribute to the success of under-resourced students in persisting toward their degrees in physics and astronomy. Your contributions also support physics and astronomy departmental efforts across the U.S. that drive systemic change in undergraduate education.

When successful, TEAM-UP Together will be a model for creating inclusion within other disciplines.
