AIP Welcomes Alicia Waller as Talent and Culture Officer
WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2024 -- AIP is thrilled to welcome Alicia Waller as the organization’s new Talent and Culture Officer. She joins AIP with over 30 years of human resources experience across domestic and international organizations.
“I am certain Alicia’s experience, knowledge, and demonstrated professionalism will add significantly to the diversity of backgrounds and perspectives at AIP,” said Michael Moloney , CEO of AIP. “With our renewed strategic direction, workforce model and her leadership, our newly-seated and expanded executive team is well-positioned to advance AIP’s mission and ensure our talented staff are positioned for success.”
Waller joined AIP on July 29 and will serve as a collaborator and advisor to all AIP teams and team members. She is working to create and implement both near-term and long-term employee-centered strategies that align with AIP’s excellence goal, benefiting the organization and in turn, its member societies.
“For the last 20 years, my focus has been on helping organizations to enhance, modernize, and navigate through change management,” Waller said. “I sincerely love enhancing enterprise-wide talent management and enabling the organization and its workforce to achieve its full potential.”
Prior to joining AIP, Waller served as the chief people officer for Pendulum LLC, a high-technology service provider. She was also the global people officer at John Snow Inc (JSI), where she oversaw global HR operations, developed an HR organizational structure, strategy, and mission for over 4,400 employees in 52 counties. She also served as the chief people officer at the National Council on Aging and spent almost a decade as the chief human resources officer for Amideast.
Waller attended the University of Maryland, and earned an MBA, an MS in International Management, and a BS in Business Management and Human Resources. She is a SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management, Senior Certified Professional) and has PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certifications and an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging certification from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. Waller was also honored as a 2021 HR Leader of the Year from DCA Live.
Outside of work, Waller enjoys spending time with her children and volunteering for the Organization of Autism Research.
