Background
Rodrigo completed his Ph.D. in Physics at Harvard in Quantum Information Science, studying how to run machine learning algorithms on near-term quantum computers. Rodrigo also has a secondary field concentration in Science and Technology Studies (STS). His scholarship in this area focuses on raising awareness of the ethical and societal implications of quantum technologies. Rodrigo is passionate about STEM education, access, and workforce; international dialogue; as well as energy and climate issues. He also holds degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and College of Lake County.
