Selected provisions in House bill as introduced

• Directs the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to support a National Academies study that recommends a federal R&D plan for estimating changes in precipitation due to climate change and addressing associated decisionmaker needs
• Requires NOAA to update precipitation frequency estimates for the U.S. every five years and make the data publicly available in a searchable, interoperable format
• Requires NOAA to create a national guidance document for estimating probable maximum precipitation within two years and update it every 10 years
