Changes In Precipitation (PRECIP) Act
Purpose
To amend the Weather Research and Forecasting Innovation Act of 2017 to direct the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to provide comprehensive and regularly updated Federal precipitation information, and for other purposes.

- Directs the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to support a National Academies study that recommends a federal R&D plan for estimating changes in precipitation due to climate change and addressing associated decisionmaker needs
- Requires NOAA to update precipitation frequency estimates for the U.S. every five years and make the data publicly available in a searchable, interoperable format
- Requires NOAA to create a national guidance document for estimating probable maximum precipitation within two years and update it every 10 years
