Climate Change Education Act
Purpose
A bill to require the Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to establish a Climate Change Education Program, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Establishes a Climate Change Education Program within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to increase climate literacy in the general public
- Directs NOAA to issue grants to K-12 and higher education institutions to support climate change training and education programs
- Recommends NOAA receive $50 million per year for fiscal years 2021 through 2026 to carry out the directed activities
