Climate Adaptation Science Centers Act
Purpose
To direct the Secretary of the Interior to establish a National Climate Adaptation Science Center and Regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers to respond to the effects of extreme weather events and climate trends, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
  • Provides statutory backing for the National and Regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers program at the U.S. Geological Survey
  • Requires USGS to maintain at least nine regional centers and collaborate with Native American groups
