STEM Research and Education Effectiveness and Transparency Act
Purpose
To provide for a report on broadening participation in certain National Science Foundation research and education programs, to collect data on Federal research grants to science agencies, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Directs NSF to submit a report to Congress on the effectiveness of its programs for broadening the participation of underrepresented groups in STEM fields
- Requires federal agencies with R&D budgets over $100 million to annually submit demographic and funding outcome data to NSF about all R&D grant applicants
