Purpose
To direct the National Science Foundation to support STEM education research focused on early childhood.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Directs the National Science Foundation to “consider the age distribution” of STEM education R&D projects it funds to improve its focus on early childhood education
- Provides examples of ways that NSF can use its grant programs to support STEM education activities for K-12 female students
