I hereby give to the American Institute of Physics this photo for AIP’s Niels Bohr Library & Archives.

I acknowledge that the location, retention, cataloging, preservation, and disposition of donated materials will be conducted at the Library’s sole discretion, in accordance with the Library’s policies. 

I understand that common discretionary uses include, without limitation, exhibition, display, digitization for preservation and access, and making works available for research and scholarship, or any other use consistent with AIP’s not-for-profit purposes. 

I understand that items not retained by the Institute shall be disposed of at the Institute’s discretion.

I agree that if restrictions are placed on use of the materials, and I or my designee do not respond within 60 days to a request for permission from the contact provided, the requestor may proceed with the requested use. 

AIP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible. However, AIP and the staff of the Niels Bohr Library & Archives are not permitted to furnish appraisals. This gift is provided to AIP on a payment- and royalty-free basis. This Agreement replaces and supersedes any prior agreement or representations made in connection with the Donated Materials. 

The parties have executed this Donation and Transfer Agreement upon the Date of Gift.
