Purpose
To revitalize and reassert United States leadership, investment, and engagement in the Indo-Pacific region and globally.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Establishes a wide range of initiatives to counter the influence of the Chinese government, particularly in the Indo-Pacific Region, including efforts to diversify critical supply chains, distribute vaccines globally, and build partnerships with allied nations
- In a subtitle on “science and technology,” directs the Departments of Commerce and State to establish a program that helps U.S. companies move supply chains out of China
- Establishes priorities for diplomacy on climate change mitigation
