Quantum Computing Research Act of 2018
Purpose
A bill to require the Secretary of Defense to establish the Defense Quantum Information Consortium, and for other purposes.
Summary of Selected Provisions
- Directs the Department of Defense to establish a “Defense Quantum Information Consortium” composed of academic and industry members selected by the directors of the Office of Naval Research and the Army Research Laboratory
- Establishes a board that will award grants for members of the consortium to conduct quantum information science research
